Head chef and owner Joe silk, together with his team, will strive to make your visit with us memorable.
Joe learnt his trade at Loughborough technical college. He moved down to London over 20 years ago to gain experience & embark on his career as a chef. He has worked at some of London’s finest eateries, including the Savoy hotel, the English house and the Dickens inn, st Katherine’s dock, where he looked after four dining rooms, including corporate events.
Andrew Last is our 2nd chef, a young man that learnt his trade whilst working under Joe & studying at East Kent college, a hotbed for aspiring young caterers. His love for food is sincere. Andrews main aim is to ensure that the food you eat is both memorable & enjoyable. His young mind is constantly mulling over new creations to put on your plate and push boundaries.
Heading up the waiting staff is Lesley, a lady who will be familiar to regular customers and keen to enhance your stay with us. Lesley has spent 30 years looking after customers in restaurants, her goal will be to ensure that the service you receive matches the quality of the food. Since 54’s inception Lesley has been a constant pillar of support in achieving success, she remains a strong component of the recipe that is eating out at 54.
